The pictures in this post might be rather disturbing to some readers but however , this is something to share .
On 12 January 2010, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck the Carribean nation of Haiti, leveling buildings, cutting off communications and leaving the world wondering about the state of this poor country. Witnesses said buildings were destroyed and many people injured. The lack of communications is hindering the ability to determine the full extent of damage and destruction.The International Red Cross has spoken of 45,000 to 50,000 dead, but according to Lieutenant General Ken Keen, the US general running the relief effort, the international community should be prepared for the worst and the toll could be as high as 200,000.
The United Nations has estimated that three million people were affected, and 300,000 left homeless. Some 40 tent cities have sprung up in Port-au-Prince, the International Red Cross has estimated.
This people are suffering very badly . They don't even have a proper home . It's really upsetting to see all these people suffering from all this . I mean , there are even kids hurt like mad ! No one in the world deserve to be in this state .
I almost teared when i saw the pictures , they suffer such a great loss . During service , Pastor Kong also shown us a video that show us that there is someone that was found dead under her own house & it was giving off a bad stench . She didn't die of the earthquake itself but because of the after shocks .
